Kara McAdams

Kara joined our team in August of 2016. She is our youngest caregiver but age has no bearing on the quality of care that she provides. She is compassionate and provides the upmost quality care to her client(s). Kara is currently in college studying to become a Registered Nurse. Her passion for this profession is evidenced by the care that she provides. As her client stated," Kara has helped me through some difficult times this past year and I don't know what I would do without her. "Kara, we want to thank you for being such a valuable and dependable member of the At Home Caregivers team, and we congratulate you as Caregiver of the Month.

Herlinda "Linda" Witt

Herlinda has been a caregiver with At Home Caregivers since January 2015. Prior to embarking in this "fulfilling and humbling" position, she served 10 years in the United States Army. Herlinda was honorably discharged from the military and continued her career as a civilian with the federal government. She served with the Department of Veterans Affairs and with the Social Security Administration. After 30 years of government service, she retired and began her new career as a caregiver. Herlinda is the mother of 4 beautiful girls. She currently resides in Salem with her husband Doug of 32 years, and their dog Miracle.

Gale Strut

Gale joined At Home Caregivers in August of 2015. Since her first day with our company she has always been willing to go the extra mile to help whenever needed. More importantly, she lends a listening ear to her clients that need it, a shoulder to lean on when they are having tough times and a hand to hold when they are feeling lonely.

Rita Lester

Luckily for our company, although Rita had been retired for several years one day she came to the realization that she didn't like retirement, so she applied for a position as one of our caregivers.


From At Home Caregivers -

After meeting with Rita we knew immediately that she would be a great addition to our team, and at that time we actually had several clients that we thought she would be a perfect fit for, so she started working immediately. Every day since she started working with us, she has been a great example of what we look for in a great employee, which is a caregiver who “truly cares for other people.”

Vicki Parsons

Vicki has been employed with At Home Caregivers since 2011. She is an experienced caregiver who has spent her career working with the geriatric population. “I enjoy talking with my clients and hearing their stories. What most of them have accomplished is phenomenal."

  

Outside of work, Vicki is married and has one grandchild. She lost her daughter 11 years ago, but states that through this, she has gained wisdom, and has compassion for people who have gone through struggles.

Minnie Vaughan Gearhardt 

Minnie joined At Home Caregivers July of 2016. Since joining our team, she has completed her training for a Certified Nursing Assistance and of course passed the boards with flying colors.

“Minnie is always willing to help out at the last minute. She has on multiple occasions, rearranged her schedule, just to help out with a crisis situation. Minnie is compassionate, kind and has such enthusiasm for this job. "The minute I met Minnie, I knew that she would be such an asset to our company. Angela Jones

Angela Jones, CNA has been employed since 8/21/2015. She is a very dependable employee, who always puts her client's needs first.

“From day one, Angela has proven to be an asset to our team. She is always willing to help out when needed, covering shifts when there has been a late call-out, staying over when needed, and assisting with training new employees. She is very knowledgeable regarding her job, and offers suggestions on how to improve the quality of care given to her clients. She is caring, compassionate, and genuinely cares for all of her clients.

Tammey Detamore

Tammey joined At Home Caregivers in October of 2014, and since her first day with our company she has always gone above and beyond the call of duty. Not only does she provide outstanding care for her clients, she also communicates the status of everyone she cares for to our staff in perfect detail, and no matter what obstacle (rain, sleet, snow, etc.) she faces, she always takes the initiative to find a way to overcome those obstacles.


From At Home Caregivers -

“During the last year’s (2015) snowstorms, Tammey called our office in advance to inform us that we did not need to worry about finding someone to cover for her because she had brought extra clothing with her in case she was snowed in during her shift. Tammey was snowed in the next day but we knew that her client and herself were safe.

Cynthia Musgrove

Cynthia has been with At Home Caregivers since March of 2014 and one of our youngest caregivers. Her energy and enthusiasm is contagious. Every client that she has worked with has asked to have her back, and many have requested that we "clone" her.

Judith Mills

Judith has worked with At Home Caregivers since February 2011. She is a dependable, hard- working, and most importantly, she is a joy to be around. Her enthusiasm is contagious! Judith’s dedication to her job and providing the best quality care for her clients is apparent in her work EVERYDAY… Judith: “I care so deeply for all the people that I have helped.” Judith’s care for her clients is seen in her work every day but it is even more apparent when she continues to check on her clients after service has been discontinued.

 

Outside of work, Judith loves spending time with her family and 2 grandchildren (a boy and a girl). “Family is very important to me.”
